Latvian Society of Radiology is a public professional organization that unites professionals of Diagnostic Radiology specializing in X-ray diagnostics, Angiography, Computed Tomography, Sonography, Nuclear Medicine, Magnetic Resonance Tomography, and Therapeutic Radiology, as well as other professionals practicing in the medical fields related to Radiology.

 

The main objectives of the Society are:

• to promote the strategic development of diagnostic and therapeutic radiology in Latvia.
• to improve working environment and technical equipment;
• to participate in the development and improvement of radiological manipulations and examination algorithms;
• to determine certification procedures for the professionals of the corresponding field with the respect to the state legislation;
• to implement certification and re-certification procedures.

 

Moreover, to the certain extent, to support and promote participation of the members of the Society in the international events (conferences, congresses, etc.) that are related to their professional qualification, as well as to support scientific research in Radiology.
